Rare Venture into the Political Arena

A bit of an editorial/rant. New venture for me. 

This is in response to a comment that all the gun violence in America isn't Trump's fault. I never said it was. I was questioning the true nature of a National Emergency. Since I don't believe for one minute, the greatest threat to our country is poor people trying to escape poverty and persecution. You know, like the Pilgrims, the Irish, the Italians, Eastern Europeans, Cubans, Vietnamese.... I think you should get my point by now. If not? You have eyes, yet cannot see, ears, yet cannot hear...

So why isn't the culture of violence, and domestic threats, more important than a wall?
Mexican immigrants aren't responsible for the mass shootings that have become commonplace in our country, our businesses and our schools.
It wasn't an immigrant who blew up the Federal Building in Oklahoma. It wasn't an immigrant who rained death in Las Vegas. It wasn't an immigrant who ripped the hearts from parents at Sandy Hill. It wasn't an immigrant who shot up a church in Texas. As far as I know, it wasn't an immigrant who shot up any of the high schools. It wasn't an immigrant who shot up a movie theater in Colorado. It wasn't an immigrant who shot Reagan, Kennedy, or tried to shoot Ford. It wasn't immigrants who ambushed those police officers serving a warrant. It wasn't an immigrant who ambushed the Dallas Officers.

It wasn't immigrants who murdered two of my closest friends in 2007.

John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, Son of Sam, Boston Strangler, Hillside Strangler, Zodiac Killer,  The Green River Killer, Ed Guinn...

I could go on for hours, and haven't even mentioned the racist who drove into a crowd, and barely scratched the surface on  home-grown terrorists, serial killers, church bombers during the civil rights movement, the opioid crisis, the fentanyl overdoses, the homeless Veterans, people starving and freezing to death while our President proudly takes ownership of shutting down our government, putting hundreds of thousands of everyday people like me, in dire straits. And forces them to work without pay?

It cost our economy Billions,  and he's ready to do it again, all for what now he seems amiable to be a wire fence. A worthless, ineffective barrier they are already tunnelling under. Why? Because he made a campaign promise to build a "wall" across the entire border, and Mexico would pay for it. It's nothing more than a bullshit worthless panacea to mollify the less than 40% of the country that actually believes he's trustworthy or even tells the truth. He didn't even get half the general vote. He doesn't represent the values, priorities or concerns of well over half our nation.

But, then again, he WAS a reality TV star, and he does have more bankruptcies than any President in history. He did, with the help of his dad avoid serving in the military. He doesn't understand, let alone accept the checks and balances of our government. He loves a Communist Dictator. He's done more for Russia than his own country. His trade war is close to destroying many family farms. He truly believes his "gut" is better than the Intelligence community, AND, he whines more on Twitter than a high school cheerleader who doesn't have a date for the Prom.

Sure, I could be wrong about him, just like all the staff that have left, or been indicted.

So keep stomping your feet, attacking Democrats as though they weren't citizens with the same rights you have. And, by all means, ignore all the indictments of his closest associates, or the fact Kushner was denied a security clearance TWICE, before nepotism took care of that little glitch.
